Eco Button
Eco Button is a Gadget designed to save energy usage on computers. When leaving their desk, people often put their personal computers on sleep mode. The unknown fact is even though in sleep mode, their computer still using great amount of electricity. Eco Button is specially designed to set computer in low power mode similar to the condition when the computer turned off. All it takes is pushing this gadget whenever they leave their computer. This gadget will not only save money on electricity bill, but also reducing the carbon footprint.
Attaching Eco Button to computer can be easily done using USB cable. This gadget’s size is compact (2.2 inches x 0.6 inches or 5.5cm x 1.5 cm) and it also has glowing light which act as a reminder to push this gadget whenever the user intended to leave their computer. Placing this gadget near the keyboard will make it visible and also easily accessible. To make this gadget operational, additional software will need to be installed. The software will then instruct the computer set itself on low power once the user pushed their Eco Button.
The reason this device being creates is due to reactivating the computer takes time, especially on older computers. Most people find this inconvenient and leave their computer on instead of turning them off. With this gadget, the process is only one push away and works on almost any type of computers with the exception of some older types of computers.
