One simple reason is since somebody has already think about it, made the design, assured that you will love it and ready to mass produce his design. Wood is natural element used on building, for making tables and chairs, but wood can also used for making iPhone accessories. This natural element will soothe the mixed of glass, plastic and metal material of the phone and substantially added the eco friendly appearance than for the phone compared to a common dock. A simple way to add the eco gadget theme on your iPhone without changing any part of your gadget.
Since iPhone 4 charging socket is located on the bottom of the phone, charging with this concept dock will only possible in landscape mode. But this will not be much of a problem.
