Samsung Proxima

Following the “Apple Path” with its Apple iWatch, Samsung is creating a concept gadget that claimed will prevent you from forgetting your mobile phone at home, misplace it or losing your mobile phone while you are at public places. The gadget is Samsung Proxima.
The concept was design by Californian industrial designer Johan Loekito as a collaboration project with Samsung America. The design was created in fall 2009. The tagline of the project is “you’ll never lose your phone again”. This concept gadget combines style and functionality, act as stylish wristwatch and mobile phone.
This concept gadget consists of two parts; the first part is a wristband functioning as docking for the second part, a detachable component act as the calling unit. Using proximity sensor, the wristband will vibrate or emanate tone when the calling unit is beyond a particular distance. If the calling unit is misplaced, you can locate it by simply pressing the “CALL” button on the wristband. It also has the ability to detect your contacts that use same device when they are in vicinity area, allowing you to set your privacy and details of your location.
When attached, the calling unit will operate as LED wristwatch. When detached, the calling unit will have three modes; first is the calling mode (used to make phone calls, off course), when closed it will be in compact mode (don’t know what is this for) and opening the unit to use it in messaging mode. The display for the calling unit will be using color e-paper and dual OLED.

iPhone 4 has not yet been released, but designers has already design stylish dock for this new iPhone product, using the leaked iPhone 4 prototype as the source of inspiration as well as reference for dimensions. You can forget about applications, accessories and add on. For your iPhone 4, the first thing you need to buy (after the phone of course) is the dock. One simple reason is since somebody has already think about it, made the design, assured that you will love it and ready to mass produce his design. The designer that creating this innovative design of the iPhone 4 Wooden Wood Dock is Chris Chan.
Wood is natural element used on building, for making tables and chairs, but wood can also used for making iPhone accessories. This natural element will soothe the mixed of glass, plastic and metal material of the phone and substantially added the eco friendly appearance than for the phone compared to a common dock. A simple way to add the eco gadget theme on your iPhone without changing any part of your gadget.
Since iPhone 4 charging socket is located on the bottom of the phone, charging with this concept dock will only possible in landscape mode. But this will not be much of a problem. To find mobile phone deals for the upcoming iPhone 4 will not be difficult. Although pricings are still remain unclear, current iPhone partners for European network such as Orange, Vodafone and O2 have already confirming that they will offer interesting iPhone 4 deals, hopefully with some interesting mobile phone free gifts.
Although type of deals will be offered by network providers are still remain unknown for the moment, generally there are two types of mobile phone deals offered; contract deals (postpaid) and PayG (pay as you go, or also know as prepaid), both with their own advantages and disadvantages.
Contract deals will give lots of advantages, especially for those who are using mobile phone service regularly, or those who are using their mobile phones for business purpose. For long term, this type of deal will offer significant saving on phone bill, special price for the handset itself and also reduced call rates. Customers can also use the service continuously without the disturbing reloads since contract deals are billed monthly. Contract deals usually also very generous with mobile phone free gifts. Gifts are varies, starting with phone accessories, cash-back, game consoles, notebook or even the mobile phone itself.
But there is also disadvantage for using mobile phones with contract deals. Customers will be bound to contract with network provider for a specific time , usually 6 or 12 months, and since there is usually a penalty for cancelling the contract, customer will not be able to change their network provider before the contract ends.
The PayG (pay as you go) mobile deals are also known prepaid deal. Service charges are immediately deducted from previously loaded balance as customer use the service of selected network provider. Customers can then recharge their balance whenever they wish. No contracts are required for this type of deal, therefore allowing customers to change their network provider anytime.
Another type of mobile phone deal is SIM free deals. This deal is not offered by network provider, but by the phone manufacturer, which giving the customer the handset alone. This handset is free to use with any SIM card, allowing customer to choose any provider at their own convenience.
